Terms of Sale & Use

These terms apply to your use of this website and to any order you place with Maya Candles LLC, trading as Maya Candles & Essentials. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to them.

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published at the time you place an order is the version that applies to that order.

An order placed through this site is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we send an email confirming that your order has been dispatched.

We may decline or cancel an order — for example, where an item is unavailable, where there is a pricing or description error, or where we suspect fraudulent or unauthorised use. If we cancel an order you have paid for, we will refund it in full.

Prices are shown in USD and may change without notice. Shipping charges, and any applicable taxes, are calculated and shown at checkout before payment.

All items are subject to availability. We do not guarantee that any item shown on the site is in stock at the time of viewing, and we may withdraw or change items at any time.

If an obvious pricing or description error is discovered before dispatch, we will contact you to confirm whether you wish to proceed at the correct price or cancel the order.

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details confidential and for any activity that takes place under your account. Please notify us at maiarabalcazar@gmail.com if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

We may suspend or close an account where these terms have been breached, or where an account is being used unlawfully.

We take care to describe our products accurately, but colours, finishes, and fragrances can vary between screens and between batches. Photography is illustrative.

Candles are a fire risk if used incorrectly. Follow the safety instructions supplied with the product and on the product page: trim the wick, never leave a burning candle unattended, keep it away from drafts, children, pets, and anything flammable, and stop burning at the point indicated.

All content on this site — including text, photography, artwork, product names, and the Maya name and marks — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property law.

You may view and print pages for your own personal, non-commercial use. Any other use, including reproduction, distribution, or commercial use, requires our prior written permission.

You agree not to use this site unlawfully, to interfere with its operation or security, to attempt unauthorised access to any part of it, or to extract data from it by automated means without our permission.

The site and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or free of errors.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising out of your use of the site or of our products. Where we are found liable, our total liability in connection with an order is limited to the amount paid for that order.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Consumers retain all statutory rights available to them.

These terms, and any dispute arising out of them, are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, and the courts of the State of California, USA have exclusive jurisdiction, save for any right you may have to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
